If you are using a modern template, you may occasionally find it useful to "split" a section in two. Splitting a section means that one section is turned into two sections, and some of the blocks that were contained in the original section are moved out of the old section and into the new.
Only single-column sections can be split.
Here's how to split a section:
- Decide which block you'd like to split the section at. All blocks below and including the selected block will be migrated to the new section.
- Hover your cursor over the block
- Click the "other actions" button in the floating toolbar that appears over the top-left corner of the block
- Choose "Split Section Here"
You can also click on the block and choose Format > Sections and Blocks > Split Section Here from the menu bar at the top of your screen.
