Upgrading to the SMTP Access subscription plan

The SMTP Access feature is now available in Direct Mail as an annual subscription. Customers who previously purchased the SMTP Access feature in Direct Mail do not need to upgrade to the subscription plan if they do not wish to, as their existing SMTP Access feature will continue to work as before.

Customers who do wish to upgrade to the new plan may do so by choosing “Direct Mail > Direct Mail Account” from the menu bar at the top of their screen and scrolling down to the “SMTP Access” section.

What are the benefits of the new plan?

The new SMTP Access subscription plan allows us to continue bringing you regular updates and improvements to Direct Mail. In addition, the plan offers:

  • Open and click tracking for your email campaigns at no extra cost
  • Support for sending via Google Workspace accounts using modern authentication
  • Support for sending via Office 365 or Exchange accounts using modern authentication

Do I have to upgrade to this plan?

Customers who previously purchased the SMTP Access feature in Direct Mail do not need to upgrade to the SMTP Access subscription plan if they do not wish to, as their existing SMTP Access feature will continue to work as before. Customers who want access to the above-mentioned features, as well as all new features and updates coming in the future are encouraged to consider upgrading to the subscription plan.

How do I upgrade?

Customers who do wish to upgrade to the new SMTP Access subscription plan may do so by choosing “Direct Mail > Direct Mail Account” from the menu bar at the top of their screen and scrolling down to the “SMTP Access” section.

What if I want to upgrade but already have the “open and click tracking” subscription?

You will need to cancel the “open and click tracking” subscription before you are able to upgrade to the SMTP Access subscription plan. To cancel the subscription, choose “Direct Mail > Direct Mail Account” from the menu bar at the top of their screen and scroll down to the “SMTP Access” section, then select “Do not renew” and click the “Change” button.

Can I get a discount on the SMTP Access subscription plan if I already purchased the SMTP Access feature?

If you purchased the SMTP Access feature on or after January 1, 2019 and wish to upgrade to the subscription plan, you are eligible for a discount. Please contact our support team for details.
